Position Summary
The Program Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support across N7 Foundation initiatives, with a focus on projects related to the Middle East and regional integration. This is an ideal role for candidates seeking hands-on experience in foreign policy, international affairs, and policy research.
The position is in Washington, DC and requires availability during standard business hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex scheduling and coordinate meetings with U.S. and international stakeholders
- Take detailed notes and track follow-ups from high-level policy discussions and convenings
- Support planning and execution of events, including roundtables, briefings, and international convenings
- Coordinate domestic and international travel logistics, including itineraries and briefing materials
- Provide administrative and operational support to senior staff
- Conduct background research on Middle East policy, regional integration, and related topics
- Contribute to memos, briefing materials, and—where appropriate—independent research projects
- Assist with a wide range of tasks in a small-team environment, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, Middle East studies, economics, or a related field
- Demonstrated interest in Middle East policy and regional integration
- Sharp political acumen and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional judgment and discretion, particularly in handling sensitive information
- Willingness to work fully in-office in Washington, DC
- Ability to travel internationally, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in a U.S. government agency, Congress, related foreign policy institution or think tank
- Familiarity with Middle East regional dynamics and policy issues
- Experience supporting events, policy programs, or high-level meetings
- Exposure to policy writing, briefing preparation, or research projects
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000, commensurate with experience
